Ethics for Children Class
Apr 30 @ 11:01 am – 12:30 pm
Ethics for Children Class @ Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture | New York | United States

Our Ethics for Children program provides a fun, focused learning environment for kids to explore topics that foster empathy, respect and a deeper understanding of self and others. These include: our relationship to the natural world, the diversity of world religions and philosophies, social justice and action, and peaceful problem solving.

The goal of Ethics for Children is to provide children with skills and knowledge to help them make ethical choices and learn to respect the inherent worth of every human being. We do not impose a fixed set of values or beliefs. Rather, we encourage children to respect and learn about themselves and their environment and to examine how their own ideas and actions impact the greater world.

EFC – Stepping Up Ceremony
Jun 25 @ 11:00 am – 11:45 am

We are excited to celebrate this year of growth and learning at our annual Stepping Up ceremony this Sunday!

A few things to know:

  1. EVERYONE is encouraged to come, including friends and family. All classes will have a little something to share. This year’s ceremony, held at Poly Prep, will be simple and beautiful. It will be followed by a lovely picnic lunch hosted by the EE committee.
  2. Please bring a celebratory dish to share.
  3. The ceremony will begin at our usual platform/class time (11 am) and will likely end a bit earlier than in past years since we are not combining it with Coming of Age this year (that will happen next year!) After the ceremony we will all head over from Poly to BSEC for the picnic!

Feel free to email Lea Bender with any questions using the form below.

See you on Sunday!
