On select Sundays throughout the year, a less formal meeting called a colloquy is held in place of platform. Colloquy provides opportunities for reflection on a chosen theme through readings, music, quiet time and Quaker-style sharing.Colloquy offers one hour of self-reflection and meditation within a nurturing, protected group environment. A facilitator guides the conversation and ensures that participants remain comfortable and focused.
Each Colloquy discussion centers on a particular theme. The group has considered such topics as awareness, serenity, character, darkness, transitions, and memory. Participants use readings, music, and quiet sharing to reflect on a theme; meditation on the theme often invites gentle exploration of life’s questions.
Childcare is available during most Colloquys.
