The EFC is a national nonprofit that builds youth leadership and cultivates intergenerational community in the service of social and economic justice. EFC staff and alums will present on our current programs and initiatives as we are responding to the current assault on democracy and human rights. Our presentation will include time for dialogue and identifying ways the EFC and Brooklyn Society members can work together to meet this moment.\n\nWith music by: The Brooklyn Women’s Chorus\nAbout the Speakers\nMargot Gibney (Encampment alum 1971) is the current Executive Director of the Encampment. She has developed and directed youth programs across the country serving a wide range of communities. She has also developed programs for youth and families within the dependency and juvenile justice systems.\nDr. Faith R. Kares, incoming Executive Director, is a lifelong educator, community organizer, and inclusive researcher. She was previously Associate Director of Research & Evaluation for the Institute for Racial Justice (Loyola University Chicago), and currently faculty at the University of Illinois at Chicago.\n
