How do kids K-12 see a better world? We want to learn from the younger generations what inspires them and how they envision the future, so we can work together to create the future they deserve.

Imagine with Us
What would a better world look like to you? Do you have any ideas about how we could make it happen? What changes do we have to make to transform our world? Let us know what a better world looks like to you, in your life, in your community, or worldwide. Tell us in writing, in poetry, as a video or with interesting artwork. Dreams come true when we all work together for change. Let’s share our hopes and dreams and build the future together!
Deadlines and Awards:
ngAll materials should be submitted from March 5, 2026 until May 1st, 2026.
Results will be released by May 24, 2026.
A hybrid ceremony, including local leaders and allied organizations will follow, where the kids will be able to share their work with those working now to help them build a better world in the future.
Prizes are as follows:
For grades 6-8th and 9-12th:$150 for 1st place$100 for 2nd Place$50 for 3rd place
and
$100 for 1st place$50 for 2nd place$25 for 3rd place
for grades k-2nd and 3-5th
Submission Details:
Submissions are free, but only 1 per child. Children submitting more than one submission will automatically be eliminated.
Submissions will be divided into the following groups:
K-2 Grades
3-5 Grades
6-8 Grades
9-12 Grades
Submissions can be presented as writing, poetry, video or artwork with descriptions. One submission per child. All submissions will be made online. Pictures of artwork must include a description.
No minimum size, but a maximum of 1000 words for the writing submissions. Submissions of writing must be in Google Doc format, as a view-only file.
Videos are limited to 5 minutes, and must be shared as a link to a YouTube or a Vimeo video, and must be tagged #brooklynethical on the description.
Images of the artwork must be high-quality JPG or PNG.
Age Groups
Grades K-12, divided into the following categories:
Little Dreamers – Kindergarten to 2nd grade
We take your dreams seriously, no matter how fantastical and imaginative!
Dream Adventurers – 3rd to 5th Grades
Your ideas about the world can be vast, or they can be about your school, neighborhood, or any part of the world you want to change.
Finders of Truths – 6th to 8th Grades
Tell us what you have seen that should be changed, or ideas we never imagined about how the world could improve.
The Successors – 9th to 12th Grades
You are the next in line to make decisions about the future. What changes do you want to see? How do you imagine a better life for the future?
