What does Ethical Culture ask of us in public life?
This talk offers an overview of proposed Ethical Culture positions on tax fairness, universal health care, climate action, responsible gun policy, economic reform, voting equality, accountable government, educational investment, emergent technologies, federal debt management, and immigration. The discussion will also cover how ethical commitments can inform serious engagement with public policy in a complex society. Featuring music by Sylvain Leroux.
About the Speaker
Tom Castelnuovo, MCP, MBA, has had a long career developing systems and securing funding to support New York City and its children and families. He currently chairs the American Ethical Union’s Ethical Action Committee, which is developing policy positions on national and international issues. Tom served as Board Chair of the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture during its building sale and relocation and now serves as Treasurer.
About the Musician

A pioneer of African/Jazz collaborations, Sylvain Leroux is a foremost player of the “ Fula flute,” the traditional flute from Guinea.
