
Exploring Music as a Healing Modality
This platform will take the participants through the various ways music is being used as an evidenced based process of healing within various healthcare environments such as acute behavioral health in hospitals and within the juvenile justice system. The music selections for this platform will also include some of the original compositions and arrangements of the presenter.

About Dan Walsh, MS, LCAT, MT-BC
Dan is a Board-Certified Music Therapist/Licensed Creative Arts Therapist working at Kings County Hospital with adults and adolescents. He also provides clinical supervision to Master of Music Therapy candidates. Previously Dan developed music therapy programs working with incarcerated teens as part of the Close to Home Initiative. As a Music therapist, Dan is able to implement his experience as a performer, producer, and educator in order to meet the diverse needs of his clients.
