Forming a Humanist Practice (with Guest Leader Christian Hayden)

Part 1 of our “Creating a Life of Ethical Purpose Series” curated by Leader Emeritus and Brooklyn Ethical VP Anne Klaeysen.

MUSIC – DuPree and Barry Kornhauser

Choosing to be Humanist can be a deeply private decision- one that many times happens outside of community- it can be difficult to describe out loud how one approaches their spiritual/ethical formation. How does one observe being a Humanist or Ethical Culturist? How do we form a community that is at once accepting, but theologically/ethically sound? How do we also ensure it is not an elitist, ableist, or eurocentric endeavor? Christian will share his own approach to carving out his humanist practice.
