What does the ongoing genocide in Palestine have to do with Brooklyn?
This Sunday Platform examines the often-hidden connections between U.S. militarism abroad and its material footprint at home. Speakers from Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard will explore how military-linked companies operating in the Navy Yard support the Israeli Defense Forces, and how those same companies apply surveillance, policing, and weapons technologies domestically.
Drawing on the idea of the “colonialism boomerang,” the talk traces how violence tested on occupied populations returns to shape policing, repression, and control within the United States. This is a conversation about accountability, complicity, and the moral clarity required in a moment of profound global injustice.
About the Speakers
