Where do we find the hope to continue working for peace and justice? What are the stories and strategies that have been handed down to us that we can learn from? Joanne Sheehan will guide us through an exploration of resistance to war and the causes of war and ways to transform our world.

About the Speaker
Joanne Sheehan has been an organizer, nonviolence trainer and educator with the War Resisters League since the 1970’s. Joanne has been active with War Resisters’ International since 1983. She is a co-editor of the Handbook for Nonviolent Campaigns and the recently published New Worlds in Old Shells: a handbook for constructive programme. She is passionate about telling the stories and strategies of movements, particularly of the War Resisters League which marked its Centennial in 2023.
