Meditation and Mindfulness
Paulette Graf has been practicing Mindfulness Meditation for close to 40 years. She earned a degree in psychology from Brooklyn College following her art background. Contemplative studies at Naropa University led Paulette to her discovery of MBSR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. She subsequently trained at the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical Center, and has continued teaching this program since then at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture. Kate Pickert, a journalist who took the BSEC class, wrote the landmark Time magazine article The Mindfulness Revolution while taking this very same 8-Week program.
