Ethics in Action – Toiletries Collection for the Women’s Shelter at the Armory

Dear friends,
At a time when so many people in our communities are struggling, sometimes it seems overwhelming to try to look for solutions, but even small acts can make a difference. This month we are hoping to help support the CAMBA Park Slope Women’s Shelter, which is a 100-bed shelter at the Park Slope Armory in Brooklyn. The supportive, structured, and therapeutic facility provides temporary housing, nutritious meals, and comprehensive services and assistance for mentally ill, substance-abusing women.
When we asked them what some of their needs are, toiletries were mentioned, so we will be collecting toiletries for the shelter Sunday, May 1st from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at our building:

Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture,
53 Prospect Park West,
Brooklyn, NY 11215

– Socks
– Soap
– Shampoo and conditioner
– Hand, face, and body creams and lotions ( such as Dove body cream)
– Toothpaste
– Deodorant
– Other personal care items use for hygiene or grooming

If you would like to make a financial donation, please use our donation form (before Friday, April at:
